Presentation of Credentials: October 7, 1862
Termination of Mission: Left post on or soon after May 17, 1866- Culver's presentation of credentials on October 7, 1862 was disavowed by the U.S. Government. On January 12, 1863, Culver informed the Government of Venezuela that his status would revert to that existing before the presentation of his credentials. Culver presented new credentials on October 15, 1864, after a change of government.
