1203. Ur 1007 Aug 23. Dept expects send msg (text in fol tel)¹ re situation Amers in China to FonMins fol powers: Swed, Nor, Den, Neth, Switz, Indo, Burm, India, Pak and USSR. Msg will go concurrently with or soon after Brit note and memo, without ref to Brit action. However, FonOff may wish to inform particular Govts it understands we are making separate approach.

Dept appreciates and accepts offer FonOff instr Brit missions collaborate with US colleagues in various capitals.

If FonOff has comment on our proposed msg pls inform soonest.
