My 424, May 12, 11 a.m. Airplane believedly Japanese biplane bomber with bombs in racks circled high over Peiping and environs for half an hour this morning then departed in northeastern direction. So far as known no propaganda leaflets were dropped as on previous visits of Japanese planes. Sporadic machine-gun fire by Chinese was frequently heard during airplane’s visit.
